Fatty 1 and 2

The girlies had their well-child checks today. The doctor said that our girls are off the charts amazing. We seem to agree. :) Abby is 34 lbs and 38 inches tall. Claire is 15 lbs and 24 inches long. Claire's a little fat for her length. :) The doctor was also super impressed that Claire is holding up her head really well and she was laughing at Abby during her appointment. Hooray for awesome girls!

Claire is going to find her toes soon. I know it. I don't know why this picture wouldn't load right, but here's Claire in her straddle glory.

Abby is quite the artist. :) She does this by herself now. Eyes, smiles, and all.

Abby is super excited to have her own room back! And Grandma Larsen sent a new ballet dress that fits her perfectly. I think we wore it 4 out of 7 days in the last week.

I think these shoes are really pretty. But alas, I am on a three-month fast from shopping. Gift, anyone? *wink wink*

Also, check out here and here for some cute ideas.

you bet your bottom dollar I'm posting again.

Oh, what I would give to have long hair and amazing hair-styling skills.

Found here on The Polished Pickle. I love The Polished Pickle. A whole post should be dedicated to that blog. SO WONDERFUL. Go read it, right now. You won't be able to stop.

ooo... pretty!

I really want this dress... and I just might buy it. Okay, so it's still $128... But it's so pretty! And I could wear it to Homecoming and like, my wedding reception or something! I love it. See here.

good read.

The Children of the Promise series. I don't know what to say about these books except they're great, and if you're into WWII and the 40's in general, you'll love them. But to be honest, anyone would love them. The story is incredible, and of course, it's a part love story. Go here for more information about the first book, Rumors of War.

Lookie, lookie, a follow-up series! For those of us who couldn't get enough of the Thomas family, Dean Hughes wrote five more books. Score. However, these ones are set in the 60's and 70's, and the main characters in the first series are now forty-something year old parents and their kids are now teenagers. I know a few adults thought these books were a bore, but I enjoy them. They center around four of the Thomas grandchildren and their growing-up years. These books definitely aren't quite as packed with information as the first series, but I still like them because they're about people my age. It's pretty neat to see how teenagers lived back then. Okay, that's probably enough. Go here for more information about the first book, The Writing on the Wall.

P.S. It's historical fiction, although most of the events really did happen. Just the family and some of the other characters aren't real.

when I have my own family

I'm doing this. You should too. (Actually, Lauren and Ashton, you should start now.)
